GENRE & CORE GAMEPLAY
VR Art Gallery and Interactive Experience. ACAB is a VR and desktop-accessible art exhibition showcasing NFT artworks and 3D objects. Users explore a VR gallery, interact with art pieces, and engage in VR spray painting on compatible headsets.
PROJECT BRIEF
The ACAB VR Experience was developed as an accessible, immersive art space for viewing and interacting with NFT art. Planned future features include live graffiti demos and NFT purchasing with Solana. Currently, it is accessible via VR headsets’ web browsers.
Synopsis
ACAB transports users to a VR gallery where Jared Jestr’s NFT art collection and graffiti pieces are displayed in a stylized warehouse. Visitors explore a clean, modern interior filled with art, try VR spray painting, and experience a unique juxtaposition of high art and street art culture. Planned expansions include live graffiti streams and NFT purchasing, adding exclusive engagement and community elements.
My role and contribution
As a programmer, I helped setup the foundation for the project and WebGL-compatible VR controls.
Technical details
The project integrates cutting-edge technologies to create a seamless VR experience. Key tools include Unity as the primary development platform, with XR device support managed through Unity’s XR Management System and the OpenXR runtime for cross-platform compatibility. The Unity Input System handles VR controller input, while GLTFast enables efficient rendering of WebXR-compatible 3D models. High-quality visuals are achieved using the Universal Render Pipeline (URP). WebXR API integration allows VR functionality in web browsers. Scripting and interaction logic are implemented in C#.
